
Svasti Microfinance’s app UI did not feel intuitive to its CRMs – because they were all mobile savvy, but not all of them were computer savvy.
Our solution came from shadowing the CRMs on their rounds – their daily collections visits, branch meetings, CDL (Central Disbursement Location) processes, lunch breaks… We richly photo and video documented these everyday journeys of theirs.
The app wireframe, iconography and interface we created is a visualization of this journey from the CRM’s point of view. The icons literally incorporate daily objects and elements from their lives instead of template icons familiar to only those of us who have grown up with computers. This was our most powerful hack for helping the app speak clearly to them.
