The problem with ‘ideation sessions’ in our industry is that coming up with ideas starts feeling like an end in itself. But where do ideas come from? This is a question that falls by the wayside in the rush towards more ideas, any ideas. Meaningful ideation demands refocusing on self-awareness, empathy for others, mental blocks and fresh provocations. Having a party or two in between doesn’t hurt either :)
